The Big Fuck-Off Trapezoid
The Big Fuck-Off Trapezoid is a dark comedy about a couple who moves to a cabin in the woods to live out the rest of their days in peace. But the husband is tortured by a large angular shape in the sky. It makes him behave erratically, lose time, and sets demons to chase him. Of course there is no big trapezoid in the sky. The man is succumbing to Alzheimer’s disease. I watched my grandfather wither under this disease for fifteen years. I am watching my father begin to fade under early-onset dementia now and because it is genetic, I worry about my own future. So this “traumedy” is my way of talking about my fears and experiences with humor and with horror.
The plan with this script is to film a short film to build a team, get traction on the festival circuit and shop what is working and what is not working among cast and crew. Then, when successful, develop it into a feature-length movie.

I’ve always loved monoliths, somehow they let you know the planetary life outside of ours can be holy in a way, or therapeutic.
