Yellow 8

Yellow8 is a short film shot and produced in Columbia, SC. Yellow8 is about Kye, a young man who sees spectrums of color that normal people cannot due to an experimental surgery his father performed on Kye. Kye left home after his father's subsequent arrest and death, feeling betrayed by the family who allowed this to happen to him. He has moved from squatting in a library to his first apartment with his eccentric girlfriend, Mae. Is she the only person who can help Kye confront his past or will her odd behavior prove to be something more sinister?

We have now successfully wrapped on four days of filming. Big thanks to all the contributors, the cast and crew for helping make this possible. It is a big step in many of our careers and with the care and intricacy we've all put into this project, it's sure to be a wild movie.

Check out some of the real science behind the script here at this podcast. Did you know some people can already see millions more colors than others? http://www.radiolab.org/story/211119-colors/

Stills from on set of Yellow8. The first gallery of stills is from the first two weeks of shooting, we've wrapped the hard stuff.

It's been two months and we're back in the good SC weather for the last few shoots. We shot at the Horse Shoe on the USC campus. The scene was specifically written into the script.
